The PLUTO project is located in Coupvray, in the area of the Disneyland Paris tourist complex, on a spacious plot of approximately 6.5 hectares. The car park can be accessed from either Boulevard du Grand Fossé or Boulevard de l’Europe, providing optimum accessibility for Disneyland Paris staff.
The aim of this initiative is to create a silo car park exclusively for Disney staff. Replacing the existing asphalt car park, the new silo will have a capacity of over 615 spaces on the upper level, in addition to the existing ground floor, bringing the total to 906 spaces.

The silo car park project is distinguished by its innovative architecture, which highlights its location opposite the new HUB office building. This proximity creates a strong visual dialogue between the two structures, offering a unique aesthetic experience in the urban landscape. The silo car park facades play a key role in this dialogue. They feature gentle curves, easily identifiable access points, express horizontal architecture and a harmony of colours and materials, creating a coherent and harmonious architectural environment: Architectural elegance through curved facades: The facades of the silo car park feature meticulous quarter-round corners, creating gentle curves that add a touch of elegance to the architectural ensemble. The north-west corner in particular is highlighted by perforated corrugated sheeting in shades of champagne gold, in perfect harmony with the entrance to the HUB building. This choice is also used on the main stairwell, highlighting the connection between the silo car park and the offices. Identified access : An essential aspect of the PLUTO project is the identification of access points, which are highlighted by striking architectural events. These access points are key elements of the architectural ensemble, creating a unique experience for car park users. Horizontal expression: Like the HUB building, the PLUTO project expresses a more architectural horizontality through a combination of solid spandrels and string courses. This architectural approach gives the building a modern, balanced aesthetic that is in perfect harmony with its surroundings. Matching colours : Colours and materials play an essential role in the aesthetics of the PLUTO project. The colours chosen include matt white, golden yellow and anthracite grey, creating a subtle match between the different parts of the building. The use of quality materials ensures durability and a striking aesthetic appearance. |
Master Plan and Design of the PLUTO Silo Car Park
Our main objective for this project was to create a functional parking area that blends harmoniously into its surroundings, with a focus on user safety and comfort.
Integrating with its surroundings: an R+2 design
To preserve the aesthetics of the surrounding landscape, we designed the car park as a 2-storey building with a height of 3 metres from level to level. This approach allows the car park to blend discreetly into its context, minimising its visual impact, particularly from the neighbouring Disneyland Paris park.
Pedestrian safety: clearly identified exits, pathways and stairwells
We have paid particular attention to pedestrian safety by making pedestrian exits, pathways and stairwells clearly identifiable. The signage has been designed to reflect the theme of the project, while providing a high contrast for better visibility.

Flow management: access, safety and fluidity
The design of the ground plan proposes that light vehicles enter the silo car park as early as possible, to the north of the project, in order to avoid crossing paths with pedestrians as much as possible. Ideally located in the Disneyland Paris tourist complex, the silo car park will provide staff with quick and easy access to their workplace.
The project is accessible from two main roads: Boulevard du Grand Fossé and Boulevard de l’Europe. In addition, a private road dedicated to the Disneyland company is also located on the site.
Employees and temporary workers can access the site from the north-west corner. To ensure security, we have installed a system of remote-controlled rising barriers. This system guarantees authorised and secure access while facilitating staff movement. We have also provided a second parallel access specially designed to allow rapid entry of fire-fighting vehicles in the event of an emergency.
Vehicles leave the site from the north-east corner. This strategically positioned exit ensures a smooth, organised flow of traffic, avoiding congestion at peak times.
Double ramp design : Optimising traffic flow in the car park
The dual-ramp design of the car park aims to optimise vehicle traffic flow. One ramp is dedicated to entering the car park, while the other is reserved for exiting. This configuration offers motorists comfortable manoeuvring dimensions and a wide field of vision, enhancing safety and convenience for users.
