The silo parking project is located a few dozen meters from the new office-laboratory building of the YPOSKESI company, to which it is connected by a covered gallery. The ambition of the project is to integrate perfectly with the existing in order to create a coherent architectural whole. Thus, the choice of materials, their colors, but also the templates and facade elements were chosen in order to participate in this overall effect, and to give the site as a whole a strong and homogeneous image.
First of all, in order to keep a reduced footprint, to preserve as much land as possible between the car parks and the offices, we have chosen to work on a type of car park in half levels. Indeed this solution makes it possible to obtain a very reduced parking-silo thickness by working with short ramps (1.60m between each half level) On the other hand, in order to meet the requirements of 270 places we opted for a car park exclusively on the floor (no level in the basement) as well as emergency exits on the facades which saves precious m2 necessary to achieve the objective: the stairwells opening directly on the facade, no airlock or smoke extraction system n is necessary, which increases the comfort of use.
Finally, the parking spaces accessible to persons with reduced mobility being exclusively located on the ground floor, we have chosen not to include an elevator, which allows the project to be more competitive, while maintaining great functionality given the reduced total height of the building. silo car park. Regarding the materiality of the project, we opted to respect the colors in the gray / light gray tones of the office project, leaving the raw materials visible: galvanized steel, concrete, aluminum. The facade elements (optional) on the street side, on three of the building’s gables (see perspectives) are made of aluminum tubes, the treatment of which is reminiscent of that of the covered pedestrian gallery. Their layout has been calculated to meet the ventilation requirements of a parking building (> 50% opening) This new complex (parking and office building), we hope, will also create a new center of excellence performance and aesthetics and will enable YPOSKESI to achieve its growth objectives and assert its leading position.
